Back in the day, newspapers were the kings of information. People waited for that thud on the doorstep to catch up on the world. But, in 1893 the radio was invented and as it improved the waves started buzzing with bulletins, changing the way people got news by bringing voices into homes. Then, in 1927, came the television, turning the news into a visual feast and making anchors household names. As social media grows so does access to the news. Social media platforms and news apps keep society updated by the second and enable interaction with the stories. It is a whole new world where news is instant, abundant and sometimes overwhelming. We’ve gone from savoring words on a page to sifting through a digital info avalanche.
