The Warhill Cheerleader’s Competition Curse

After winning the title of runner-up at regionals, the girls of the Warhill Competition Cheer took some time for themselves to act silly posing for the camera.

Warhill’s competition cheer team competes at least five times every season. For the 2021 season, the competition team got a new coach. Since the 2021 season, the competition team has lost at least one person every week due to an injury or other situation which left the person unable to compete. For the last three years this has been going on every competition week. This year is no different. The first two competitions of the season the competition curse hit the team. The third competition, the Bay River District championship, allowed the team to finally break the curse. “Having an all-girl team is hard because the team can butt heads sometimes, but I feel that it can be like that due to all the quick changes and stress that comes up during comp week,” said Coach Hannah Lisagor.

Josiah Morris is a senior here at Warhill. He will be proudly graduate from Warhill this year, 2024.   Some things that he loves are to talk to people and make friends. He admits he sometimes struggles when talking to new people, but when someone does strike up a conversation, he is  great at keeping it going. He is nice to everyone he comes across even if they do not treat him the same.   In his spare time he enjoys activities including talking to my friends, talking to my family, watching YouTube, and playing some video games. His friends and family make his life awesome and make him happy. He likes video games such as Tetris and Sudoku because they allow him to train his brain further.
