On October 28th the Warhill homecoming dance took place in the Warhill gym. All the lions tore up the dance floor in their best attire. The dance cost around 6-7 thousand dollars which came from ticket sales. Students helping along the way by staying after school to make the dance happen. Students helped pick out decorations and the theme with help from teacher sponsors. Ms. Jordan Butler being one of them. Caleb Race agrees that the dance was a rememberable event making Ms. Butlers goal complete. Many enjoyed this event by singing the songs and dancing the night away in beautiful dresses and tuxedos. The dance really was a “Barbie world” Caleb Race said, “The dance was very rememberable, it was definitely worth going to.” Tickets were only $15 Caleb said, “I’d say that the event was worth the cost it wasn’t too expensive.” The dance was divided into two sections, one being the gymnasium and the cafeteria, the gym for dancing and cafeteria for refreshments. Upon arrival Students were checked in by last name. Many couples were matching in many different colors ranging from pink all the way to black. As for setup there were two places for pictures, one being a silver backdrop and another being a Mattel barbie box. Refreshments included fruit, cupcakes, chips, and candy. The playlist of the night ranged from Ice Spice to Rihanna. Students did not miss a beat as they danced no matter what played. Many danced in sneakers or barefoot due to the rule of no heels in the gym. Despite this everyone still danced like no one was watching. Couples danced to the slow songs “Love on the Brain by Rihanna” and “Perfect duet version by Ed Sherron”. While some didn’t have others to dance with, they still found a way to enjoy every moment. At the end of the night the lights came on at 9:55PM to end this remarkable night.
